The aim of our project was to organize an event for young European citizens from Szeged (Hungary) and Timisoara (Romania) who are interested in cross-border cooperation. The participants had the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences and acquire knowledge. The aim of the workshop was to make citizens more sensitive to the idea of European citizenship in everyday life. Our medium has been the discussion and debate of current European issues which affect culture and everyday life.
The participants were divided in working groups focused on the issues of joint European values and culture and the economically and politically unifying Europe. The aim was to build strong group cohesion and European team spirit in the groups. The building stones for the professional trainers were the common identity, historical past and tolerance and the groups will become the foundation of a European citizen network in the follow-up stage of the project.
