The objectives of the program were:

  • to inform the citizens about what cooperation in DKMT Euroregion is;
  • to stimulate public debates on cross-border cooperation in an intercultural context, implicating both civil society and public authorities.

The main activities were:

  • organizing 12 local reunions – 4 in each part of the Euroregion –, which included a series of debates on creating a regional partnership and the role of cross-border cooperation in providing regional stability, mentioning examples of good-practice in diverse domains of activity;
  • publishing and circulating informative materials in the three languages of the euroregion.

Our association and its partners organized a training session for the young candidates of the democratic parties in the local elections in Timis county. The training session was focused on learning campaign techniques based on a direct relation with the voters. In the meantime, there were presented a series of means of making young persons exercise their right to vote. Having the support of Mrs Shannon O’Connell, executive director NDI Romania, we invited Mr Brian Hayes as a lecturer, the youngest member of Irish Parliament.
