INFO DKMT – What is the DKMT Euroregion?

August – September: INFO DKMT – What is the DKMT Euroregion?

In order to make the DKMT Euroregion popular, we initiated an information campaign on cross-border cooperation. It took place in several localities from Timis county (Timisoara, Deta, Buzias, Periam, Satchinez, Sânmihaiu Român), where we distributed folders presenting the DKMT Euroregion. The folders offered information about the advantages of cross-border cooperation, about the structure of the Euroregion, statistic data, and a short vocabulary of cross-border cooperation.

February – March: Multiple Cultural Identities in the Danube-Cris-Mures-Tisa (DKMT) Euroregion

Partners: Democracy after Communism – Budapest, Hungary

The program implied 30 young persons from the Hungarian and Romanian parts of DKMT Euroregion; it consisted in a series of reunions with personalities of cultural, political and religious life, as well as representatives of the minorities from Timisoara and Timis county.

The goal of these reunions, workshops and round tables was to know better the local and regional realities, the intercultural context, and to build new relations between organizations. Because of the political situation of that moment, the Serbians were not included in the program.
